The Struggle to Let Go

I have bended will around to keep you in my life but,

Like a river seeking its course, you flowed away,

Through fingers intertwined, slipping beyond my grasp,

Leaving me with echoes of your laughter,

Echoes of your love.

I have bended will around to keep you in my life but,

In the quiet of the night, your absence echoes,

A hollow space where your warmth once lingered,

Memories etched in the crevices of my heart,

Whispering secrets of what we once shared.

I have bended will around to keep you in my life but,

Time moves forward, carrying me along,

While I remain anchored in the past we built together,

A fragile tapestry now frayed and worn,

Threads of love intertwined with threads of pain.

I have bended will around to keep you in my life but,

The walls I built are crumbling,

Cracks spreading like veins on old marble,

And I am left standing in the rubble,

Holding onto shards of what once was.

I have bended will around to keep you in my life but,

I realize now that love cannot be contained,

It is a force that must be free,

To grow, to change, to find its own path,

Even if it means letting go.

I have bended will around to keep you in my life but,

In the letting go, I find strength,

In the release, I find peace,

And in the echoes of your absence,

I find the space to breathe again.

The Silent Symphony of Unreturned Love

In shadows deep where lonely echoes dwell, A heart beats softly, bound by love’s own spell, Unseen, unheard, yet steadfast through the years...
